Billing, cancellation and refund policy (draft)

This is a draft. Tekjobs Inc has not had it reviewed by a lawyer yet, and the wording will change before it is final.

Who this applies to

This policy covers paid plans bought on TekJobs by employers and recruiters. TekJobs is operated by Tekjobs Inc, 949 Saratoga Way, Coppell, Texas 75019. In this policy "we" and "us" mean Tekjobs Inc, and "you" means the person who buys a plan and the company they buy it for.

Free trial

• A new company account gets one free trial of 30 days when its email address is verified.
• No card is needed for the trial, and nothing is charged when it ends.
• When the trial ends, the account stops being able to open profiles, download CVs or post jobs until a paid plan is chosen. Jobs already posted and your account data are kept.
• One trial per company. We may decline a trial for an account that repeats a trial under another name.

Paid plans and automatic renewal

• Before you pay, the checkout page shows the plan, its price, how long each period lasts, what it includes, and any sales tax.
• Your plan renews automatically. At the end of each period we charge the card on file for the next period, at the plan's price at that time, until you cancel.
• We email a receipt for every charge.
• Plans are billed monthly or yearly. For yearly plans, we email a reminder 30 days before the renewal charge.
• If a plan's price changes, we email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your renewal. You can cancel before then.
• Payments are processed by Authorize.net. We never see or store your full card number.

What a plan includes

• The Starter and Professional plans give your company a set number of job posts, profile views and CV (resume) downloads each month. On a yearly plan the numbers are given monthly too.
• The numbers start fresh each month. Anything unused does not carry over.
• Opening a profile or downloading a CV your company has opened or downloaded before is always free, as long as your company has an active plan.
• The Business plan has no monthly limit on job posts, profile views or CV downloads. The Terms of Service still apply, including the rule against copying profiles out of the service in bulk.
• Your account shows what you have used and what is left at any time.

Changing plans

• Upgrading takes effect straight away. You are charged the full price of the new plan, a new period starts that day, and the new plan's numbers replace the old ones. The unused part of the old plan is not refunded or credited.
• Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal. You keep your current plan until then.

Cancelling

• You can cancel any time from the Billing page in your account, in one step, or by emailing us at uday@tekjobs.ai.
• Cancelling stops all future charges. Your plan stays usable until the end of the period you already paid for, then it ends.
• We email you a confirmation when you cancel.
• Cancelling does not delete your account, your posted jobs or your data.

Refunds

Payments are not refundable, and we do not refund part of a period after you cancel. We do refund in full:

• a charge made in error, such as a duplicate charge or a wrong amount;
• a renewal charged after you had already cancelled;
• any case where the law requires a refund.

We may also, at our choice, refund or credit you if the service was unavailable for a long time because of a fault on our side.

To ask for a refund, email uday@tekjobs.ai within 30 days of the charge, with your company name, the date and the amount. We answer within 5 business days. An approved refund goes back to the card that was charged, and your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days.

If a payment fails

• If a renewal charge is declined, we email you a link to update your card.
• Your plan keeps working for 7 days while you fix it.
• If the payment still has not gone through after 7 days, your plan is paused. Choose Restart on the Plans page to start it again.
• A plan that stays paused for 30 days ends. Your account, your posted jobs and your data are kept.

Disputes and chargebacks

Please contact us first so we can put things right. If a charge is disputed with your bank, we may pause the account while the dispute is open.

Sales tax

If your billing address is in Texas, Texas sales tax is added to the price, shown before you pay, and listed on your receipt.

Plans arranged with us directly

If you agreed a plan with us in writing, the written agreement decides the price, the period and the refund terms. This policy covers anything that agreement does not.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we publish a new version and keep the old one. A change applies to your next renewal, not to a period you have already paid for. The version you accepted is recorded with your subscription.
