The role sits on the Pre-Trade IT team, which builds and operates the platforms supporting pre-trade decision support, market data, pricing, and analytics for the trading desks.
Description:
- This is a senior individual-contributor position.
- The engineer will design, build, deploy, and operate cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and event-driven services - primarily in Python on AWS - that ingest, process, validate, and expose market data for pricing, analytics, and pre-trade workflows.
- Responsibilities span hands-on development, cloud architecture, automation, production support, and technical leadership, including leading design and architecture reviews, defining engineering standards, and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
Primary stack is:
- AWS (serverless, containers on ECS/EKS, event-driven architectures) with Python as the main language, Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation, CI/CD, and standard observability and security tooling.
- Azure integration applies to selected enterprise and cross-platform use cases.
- The role works cross-functionally with traders, quantitative teams, product owners, architects, data, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
