The DC District Department of Transportation (DDOT) needs an onsite IT Specialist to provide end-user technical support, from front-line assistance to advanced troubleshooting and system configuration: incident resolution, service requests, workstation deployment, identity/access tasks, and enterprise-technology support. 100% onsite in Washington, DC.
What you’ll do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for IT support via phone, email, ticketing system, and in-person
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues at both basic and advanced levels
- Assist users with account access, password resets, MFA, and identity-management tasks
- Perform workstation setup, imaging, deployment, and peripheral configuration
- Support enterprise applications and departmental systems, including specialized tools
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring problems; document in the ticketing system
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- 6 plus years providing IT support, service desk operations, or system troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, MacOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking
- Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS and Android), including enterprise management profiles
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word) and ability to resolve basic and complex issues across multiple operating systems
- Familiarity with basic cybersecurity practices (MFA, endpoint protection, secure data handling) and ITIL incident, problem, and change management
Required skills
- End-user technical support and service desk operations (phone, email, ticketing, in-person)
