Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Expert Business Analyst with a strong Human Resources (HR) background and extensive expertise in business processes, HR operations, process optimization, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of end-to-end HR processes, the ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions, and experience working with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation and operational efficiency.
The candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to engage with HR leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis: Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps, assess business needs, and recommend effective solutions.
- HR Process Expertise: Demonstrate strong knowledge of end-to-end HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, payroll coordination, and offboarding.
- Requirements Gathering: Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discussions to gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements.
- Business Process Mapping: Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps, workflows, business process models, and functional documentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with HR leaders, business users, IT teams, project managers, and vendors to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
- Functional Documentation: Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, simplification, and operational efficiency across HR and related business functions.
- Solution Assessment: Evaluate proposed solutions, perform impact analysis, and ensure alignment with business requirements and organizational policies.
- Testing and Validation: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), prepare test scenarios, validate system functionality, and coordinate defect resolution.
- Change Management: Support change impact assessments, user training, communication, and business readiness activities.
- Reporting and Analytics: Analyze business data, develop meaningful insights, and support management reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- Project Delivery: Coordinate with project teams to manage dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with significant experience in HR processes and HR transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR business processes and HR operating models.
- Proven experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis, gap analysis, and solution design.
- Expertise in creating BRDs, FRDs, process flows, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across HR, Finance, IT, Operations, and other business functions.
- Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, SDLC, UAT, and change management practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HR systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, or other HRMS platforms.
- Exposure to HR digital transformation, process automation, system implementation, or enterprise-wide transformation programs.
- Knowledge of reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working in large, global, or multi-location organizations.
- Relevant Business Analysis certifications, such as CBAP or PMI-PBA, are an advantage.
