Job Title: SaaS Pricing Specialist - Remote / Telecommute
Job Location: San Jose, CA
Job Type: Contract
Pay Range: $85.00hr - $90.00hr
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess SaaS finance expertise with high proficiency in SQL and Excel, as well as extensive hands-on experience using Salesforce CRM, CPQ tools, and Oracle ERP.
- Possess core skills in finance, subscription billing, ARR, and pricing.
- Demonstrate experience working within a technology company.
- Bring strong consulting and functional experience rather than a developer background.
- Demonstrate SaaS finance expertise, including a deep understanding of subscription mechanics, standardized ARR definitions, external ARR reporting, and Last Price Paid (LPP) metrics for renewals.
- Apply best practices for managing ARR and LPP metrics, including renewal pricing, as well as managing the impacts of pull-forwards and consolidations.
- Parse complex software licensing agreements to verify specific renewal caps and terms.
- Maintain meticulous accuracy with a focus on tracking exact LPP across multiple legacy systems.
- Utilize advanced data modeling skills with high proficiency in SQL and Excel (including Power Query and complex financial modeling) to manipulate large datasets.
- Demonstrate systems mastery with hands-on experience extracting historical pricing using Salesforce CRM, CPQ tools, and Oracle ERP.
- Exhibits strong capability in edge-case problem solving, accurately calculating mid-cycle prorations, upgrades, contractions, and churn.
