Data Engineer with Oil & Gas Experience MUST
Introduction: This position is for a Data Engineer III with Oil & Gas experience, located in Spring TX/Houston. The role is focused on industrial/time-series data engineering and Power BI analytics within the Oil & Gas domain.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for data integration, transformation, querying, and analysis.
- Building dashboards, data models, and analytics using Power BI.
- Strong SQL and Python coding skills.
- Extracting and analyzing high-volume/time-series data.
- Working with data from DCS, SCADA, process historians, maintenance, and instrument systems.
- Validating data quality and documenting data sources, business rules, assumptions, and analytical methods.
- Converting complex data into actionable insights, trends, and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Strong Power BI experience.
- Strong SQL and Python coding skills.
- Experience with high-volume/time-series data.
- Experience with DCS, SCADA, process historians, maintenance, and instrument systems.
- Ability to validate data quality and document data sources, business rules, assumptions, and analytical methods.
- Ability to convert complex data into actionable insights, trends, and recommendations.
