Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, SSIS, and SSRS. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines, data integration solutions, and reporting platforms.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Strong SSIS development and migration experience
- Strong SSRS development and reporting experience
- Advanced SQL Server / T-SQL
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation workflows
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Experience with Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and OneLake
- Strong understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing
- Experience migrating legacy SSIS/SSRS solutions to Azure/Fabric
- Performance tuning of SQL queries, ETL processes, and data pipelines
- Experience with data quality, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory
- Develop and maintain complex SSIS packages for enterprise ETL processes
- Design and maintain SSRS reports and dashboards
- Build and manage Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, and Data Factory solutions
- Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
- Perform migration of on-premises data platforms and SSIS/SSRS workloads to Azure/Fabric
- Optimize data pipelines and SQL workloads for performance and scalability
- Work with business and technical teams to understand data requirements
- Implement data quality, reconciliation, and validation processes
- Troubleshoot production data pipelines, ETL jobs, and reporting issues
- Follow best practices for security, governance, deployment, and monitoring
