About the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform system integration and testing of hardware, software, and network components.
  • Plan and execute Verification & Validation (V&V) activities based on system and customer requirements.
  • Develop, review, and execute detailed system-level test procedures, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Support SVT (System Verification Testing) and SVCP activities throughout the product/system lifecycle.
  • Integrate hardware, embedded/software components, networking equipment, and system interfaces within laboratory and test environments.
  • Configure and maintain integrated test environments for system-level verification and validation.
  • Perform lab and rack commissioning, including hardware installation, system configuration, connectivity, network setup, and software deployment.
  • Troubleshoot integration and test failures across hardware, software, network, configuration, and interface layers.
  • Analyze test failures, identify root causes, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering teams.
  • Create and manage defects using Jira, including detailed reproduction steps, logs, test evidence, severity, and impact.
  • Use Polarion ALM to manage requirements, test cases, test procedures, traceability, and verification evidence.
  • Utilize Jenkins to support continuous integration, automated test execution, and test-result collection.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts/frameworks where applicable.
  • Perform regression testing following software, hardware, or configuration changes.
  • Maintain clear traceability between requirements → test procedures → test execution → defects → verification results.
  • Monitor test execution progress and prepare KPI, test status, defect, and quality reports for technical stakeholders and management.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews, integration reviews, defect triage meetings, and release/readiness activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful system integration.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, test reports, test logs, and verification evidence. Support continuous improvement of system integration, testing, and automation processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Integration, System Testing, Verification & Validation, or Test Engineering.
  • Strong experience with system integration and system-level testing.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing test procedures and test cases.
  • Experience with Verification & Validation (V&V) methodologies.
  • Experience with SVT/SVCP or similar formal system verification processes.
  • Strong understanding of hardware, software, and network integration.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex system-level failures and integration issues.
  • Hands-on experience with lab/test environment setup and rack commissioning.
  • Experience with test automation and automated test execution.
  • Experience with Polarion ALM or similar requirements/test management tools.
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking and issue management.
  • Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD and automated test execution.
  • Ability to analyze logs, test results, system behavior, and technical failures.
  • Experience preparing test reports, KPIs, metrics, and status dashboards.
  • Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with hardware, software, systems, networking, and quality engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with complex electromechanical, embedded, industrial, automotive, aerospace, or other safety-/mission-critical systems.
  • Experience with requirements traceability and formal verification processes.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Git and software configuration management.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum or other structured engineering environments.
  • Experience working with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), simulation, or system test environments.
  • Knowledge of defect lifecycle management, root-cause analysis, and regression testing.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
