Role: Senior DevSecOps Engineer - Azure Platform Engineering

Location: Coppell, TX onsite

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, secure, automate, and operate an enterprise-scale Azure integration platform supporting APIs, integrations, messaging, and cloud-native applications. The role will work with Architecture, Engineering, Security, Integration teams, and implementation partners to build a secure, scalable, automated, and reliable platform and serve as a long-term Azure Platform SME.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Automation

  • Design and implement Azure-native platform capabilities and reusable deployment patterns.
  • Build and maintain IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, deployments, and operational processes.
  • Standardize platform services across environments and improve developer experience/deployment velocity.

CI/CD & DevOps

  • Design and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for build, testing, infrastructure deployment, and releases.
  • Implement Git branching, environment, release, governance, quality gates, rollback, and recovery strategies.
  • Promote continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices.

Security & DevSecOps

  • Embed security throughout the SDLC and implement secure-by-design Azure patterns.
  • Manage Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID, network security, API security, authentication/authorization, and secrets management.
  • Implement security scanning, vulnerability management, compliance controls, and least-privilege access.

Azure Platform & Operations

  • Support production Azure services including API Management, Functions, Container Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Storage.
  • Ensure platform availability, scalability, reliability, and operational readiness.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support incident response and RCA.

Monitoring & Observability

  • Define logging, monitoring, and observability standards.
  • Build dashboards, alerts, notifications, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks.
  • Improve platform visibility, reliability, and operational maturity using SRE principles.

Project Enablement & Leadership

  • Review implementation partner deliverables and validate pipeline, security, architecture, and operational designs.
  • Support migration planning, deployments, production readiness, and architecture/design reviews.
  • Mentor engineers and establish DevOps, DevSecOps, automation, security, and operational best practices.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform/Cloud Engineering or related roles.
  • 5+ years hands-on Azure and enterprise production cloud experience.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Container Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Storage.
  • Hands-on Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, branching/release strategies, environment provisioning, configuration management, and repeatable deployments.
  • Strong understanding of least privilege, Managed Identity, Entra ID, secrets management, API security, authentication/authorization, security scanning, and vulnerability management.

Preferred Skills

  • Enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, TIBCO, or BizTalk.
  • Event-driven architecture, Kubernetes/AKS, SRE, observability, and Zero Trust.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools for infrastructure automation, pipeline generation, security reviews, runbooks, documentation, and performance optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred certifications: AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-104, SC-300, SC-100.
