IT Data Warehouse Business Analyst

Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder workshops and discussions.
• Create BRDs, functional specifications, and data mapping documents.
• Analyze source systems, data flows, and define transformation rules.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineers on data models, ETL requirements, and data quality.
• Create and maintain Data Mapping Specifications (DMS/LMS). Identify data transformation and business rules.
• Manage requirement changes, scope, and stakeholder priorities.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for development teams.
• Create process models and support requirement reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Communicate requirement updates and solutions to project teams and stakeholders.
• Technical background with hands-on experience on Excel, SQL, Databricks SQL, and technical business analytics
• Technical background with hands-on experience on ETL/ELT Concepts, Data Modelling, Star Schema, Data Marts and Data Lakehouse Concepts

Business Analyst Qualifications / Skills:

• 10+ years working experience as IT Data Warehouse Business Analyst
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
• Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
