Schedule: Full Time (40.00 Hours/Week, 8.00 Hours/Day, 5 Days/Week)
Job Description & Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Contribute to team planning and status meetings to clarify priorities, assignments, and expected deliverables.
- Execute routine functional testing with off-the-shelf and proprietary security tools using white-box, grey-box, and black-box techniques to discover new security vulnerabilities.
- Analyze complex problems, record encountered issues, and document findings for future resolutions.
- Collaborate with developers to analyze and define discovered problems.
- Create new test assets and cases to address evolving product or system requirements.
- Contribute to the development of automation strategies and frameworks.
- Build and expand knowledge of testing methodologies and practices.
- Continuously enhance expertise in functional test development processes.
- Assess challenges and explore solutions by consulting subject matter experts to ensure decisions are evidence-based throughout product development.
- Define timelines for assigned tasks/projects and monitor progress against them.
- Apply testing tools and techniques to achieve comprehensive functional coverage.
- Deliver informal technical presentations to small groups on specialized topics.
- Stay informed on emerging networking technologies, industry trends, and IT/OT best practices.
- Show curiosity toward new technologies and products that could enhance Rockwell’s offerings while refining skills.
- Record and summarize testing results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Science.
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing or development.
- Solid understanding of computer networks and communication protocols.
- Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network implementations.
- Expert-level technical background in high-complexity networking solutions, implementation strategies, and understanding of IT/OT convergence.
- Background in testing, specifically in testing Ethernet networks and test environment design for Ethernet networks.
- Experience with network technologies including STP, VLANs, DTP, VTP, IGMP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, Flex links, ACLs, DLR, PRP, HSR, MRP, etc.
- Experience with security-related concepts, protocol fuzzing tools, and PSIRT processes.
- Experience with Cisco IE/Stratix networking switches and routers.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with network management software, network diagnostics, and utilities.
- Proficiency in programming methods and scripting languages, with strong skills in Python.
- Experience in software or product development is a major plus.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation control products.
