Position: Functional Safety Engineer
Work location : Dallas, TX
Work mode: working from office
Exp: 5- 10 years
Job Description:
- Plan and execute ISO 26262 semiconductor development activities (Part 5 and Part 11).
- Develop and maintain the safety plan, safety case, and safety manual for assigned products
- Build and review FMEDA and FMEA for analog and mixed-signal blocks.
- Perform dependent failure analysis (DFA), including common-cause and cascading failures (shared references, supplies, substrate)
- Define failure mode distributions and justify diagnostic coverage with traceable evidence
- Calculate and report hardware architectural metrics (SPFM, LFM) and PMHF against ASIL targets
- Specify and validate safety mechanisms (voltage monitors, BIST, redundancy, diagnostics) with design and test teams
- Derive and trace safety requirements from system assumptions through design, verification, and validation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
