Position Overview
We are seeking a strong Workday Financial Aid Business Analyst to support the team with requirements definition, solution design, and validation activities.
While Workday is leading the implementation, this resource will provide additional expertise to guide the university through key design decisions and help ensure the implementation delivers a best-in-class Financial Aid solution. The goal is not simply to lift and shift existing processes, but to leverage Workday capabilities and best practices while ensuring the resulting solution meets business needs and does not introduce additional manual effort.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, document, and validate Financial Aid business requirements.
- Analyze existing Financial Aid processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support Workday Financial Aid solution design and configuration decisions.
- Advise university stakeholders on Financial Aid best practices and Workday capabilities.
- Evaluate current processes and recommend solutions that maximize Workday functionality.
- Participate in requirements gathering, process analysis, design discussions, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with Workday implementation teams and university stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Support solution validation to ensure business requirements are fully addressed.
- Provide subject matter expertise throughout the Workday Financial Aid implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Deep hands-on experience with Workday Financial Aid.
- Strong business process analysis and requirements-gathering skills.
- Experience defining and documenting business requirements.
- Experience advising institutions on Financial Aid design and best practices.
- Strong understanding of higher education Financial Aid processes.
- Ability to evaluate business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Campus Solutions experience is a significant plus.
- Experience supporting higher education institutions with Workday Financial Aid implementations.
- Experience participating in Workday Financial Aid solution design, testing, and validation activities.
- Experience identifying opportunities to streamline and automate Financial Aid processes.
