About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager Consultant to support a strategic Debt Platform Modernization Program. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, technology teams, external partners, developers, and QA engineers to define end-to-end business processes and translate them into actionable product requirements.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Product Manager who can drive requirements discovery, maintain a delivery-ready backlog, support implementation, and testing activities, and ensure delivered solutions achieve the intended business outcomes. This position requires strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively in complex and evolving environments.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Discovery & Requirements Elicitation
- Lead workshops and working sessions with business stakeholders, SMEs, external partners, and delivery teams.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes, decision points, dependencies, and operational workflows.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and drive timely resolution of requirement gaps and open questions.
Product Planning & Backlog Management
- Partner with product leadership to translate business objectives and program priorities into a prioritized product roadmap and backlog.
- Manage feature sequencing, dependencies, release scope, and sprint readiness.
- Ensure epics, features, and user stories remain refined and ready for development and testing.
Business Process & Requirements Definition
- Define end-to-end business workflows, business rules, data requirements, exception handling processes, and integration touchpoints.
- Create and maintain epics, features, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business needs into implementation-ready requirements that can be effectively executed by engineering and quality teams.
Product Delivery & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, QA engineers, business analysts, Finance, Operations, and third-party partners throughout the product lifecycle.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, implementation reviews, release preparation, and product demonstrations.
- Resolve functional questions and provide ongoing business context to delivery teams.
Testing, Validation & Product Acceptance
- Partner with QA teams to review test strategies, test scenarios, and traceability against acceptance criteria.
- Support defect triage, clarify expected business behavior, and coordinate user acceptance validation.
- Evaluate completed functionality and recommend readiness for business acceptance and production deployment.
User Experience & Process Design
- Collaborate with business users and design teams to create and review workflow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes using Figma.
- Ensure solutions deliver intuitive, efficient, and well-controlled user experiences for both internal and external users.
Debt Markets & Domain Expertise
- Build and apply knowledge of debt issuance, securities settlement, trade lifecycle processes, and related operational workflows.
- Leverage business and market insights to identify process improvements, challenge assumptions, and support informed product decisions.
