Summary:
The Privacy and Data Protection Manager assists the Head of Privacy with the day-to-day operations of the Privacy and Data Security Compliance Program. This role covers our North American affiliates and subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day operations of the NA Privacy and Data Security Compliance Program.
Prepare, manage and update privacy and data protection policies and procedures, as well as functional and operational process documentation.
Manage all aspects of the US Consumer Privacy Rights Portal, including consumer rights requests, back-end service integrations, and regular reporting to management.
Conduct Privacy Risk Assessments and data request reviews, assist with privacy related internal and external audits, and support business teams with data mapping.
Respond to consumer complaints and inquires, and manage the consumer-facing NA Privacy webform and email mailboxes.
Support privacy and data security training and awareness efforts.
Monitor emerging legislation, regulations, and industry practices and trends, and recommend policies and procedures to management.
Liaise with Data Protection/Privacy teams in Korea and other regions globally as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
5-10 years of privacy and data protection experience
Excellent written and communications skills
Self starter comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced environment
Project Management skills
Understanding of Privacy and Information Security frameworks
Ability to analyze and interpret complex privacy and data protection laws and regulations
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a corporate or executive office setting.
Familiarity with project management tools and software.
Multilingual abilities (e.g., English, Korean, or other languages) are a plus.
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations.
