Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our production line and the maintenance of our equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company's facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is a self-starter, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Keep a maintenance log and report on daily activities.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting for engines, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
- Lead the maintenance team in performing electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic maintenance, and other related tasks.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency while reducing maintenance costs.
- Establish and monitor programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques.
- Prepare and control department budget, forecasts, and manage expenditures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Develop and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 5+ years as a Maintenance Manager in the Manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of engine, conveyor, and mechanical maintenance.
- Proficiency in machine maintenance tech and electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding and experience with hydraulic systems.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- Strong understanding of budgeting and performance management.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and maintenance management software.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Proven experience in scheduling and overseeing maintenance operations.
