EDI Integration Manager (B2B & Transportation Systems)
Location: North Canton, OH (Hybrid)
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Rate: 60 Per hour W2
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced EDI Integration Manager to lead a team responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level B2B integrations within a transportation and logistics environment. This role combines hands-on EDI technical expertise with team leadership, project coordination, and stakeholder management.
The ideal candidate is a strong mentor and technical leader who understands EDI development, data mapping, customer onboarding, and logistics-related integrations while driving successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of EDI developers and integration specialists.
- Manage the design, development, testing, and deployment of B2B EDI integrations.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and define solutions.
- Oversee project timelines, resource planning, risk management, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, processes, and best practices.
- Support customer onboarding and partner integration initiatives.
- Provide status updates and technical guidance to leadership teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across integration processes and workflows.
- Foster knowledge sharing and cross-training within the team.
Required Experience
- 4+ years of hands-on EDI development and integration experience.
- Prior leadership, team lead, management, or mentoring experience.
- Strong understanding of B2B EDI concepts, standards, transaction sets, and integration methodologies.
- Experience working with EDI mapping tools (Altova preferred; comparable EDI platforms accepted).
- Hands-on experience supporting and implementing EDI transaction sets including:
- 204 - Load Tender
- 990 - Response to Load Tender
- 214 - Shipment Status
- 210 - Freight Invoice
- 997 - Functional Acknowledgment
- Experience integrating with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of XML, CSV, and other structured data formats.
- Familiarity with FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, and related communication protocols.
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Transportation, supply chain, logistics, or freight industry experience.
- Experience with AI or Generative AI tools supporting integration and automation initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent integration projects.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
