Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Leader to establish and lead the SRE function, define reliability strategy, build and coach engineering teams, and implement standards and governance to improve production reliability, system availability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the SRE vision, charter, operating model, engagement model, and implementation roadmap.
- Recruit, onboard, manage, coach, and retain SRE engineers across software, infrastructure, observability, and production engineering.
- Establish SRE competencies, career paths, team objectives, coverage expectations, and engineering standards.
- Define roles and responsibilities across SRE, application development, production support, infrastructure operations, incident management, and vendor teams.
- Establish reliability standards, governance frameworks, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability and production performance.
- Strengthen incident management, production support, and continuous improvement processes.
- Manage vendor relationships and drive accountability for service reliability and operational outcomes.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), production engineering, or related engineering roles.
- Strong experience defining SRE strategy, vision, charter, and operating models.
- Expertise in reliability standards, governance, and engineering best practices.
- Proven experience building, leading, coaching, and developing engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, observability, production support, and incident management.
- Experience collaborating with application development, infrastructure operations, and vendor teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational leadership skills.
