IT Technical Support Analyst-FMI Technology Hardware & Application Support 8918 Beckett Rd, West Chester, OH 45069 SSSUP Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time IT Technical Support Analyst, you will provide technical support for Fastenal's support teams, Operations and Fulfillment systems. You will be an intricate part of the day-to-day business. You will assist employees by supporting FMI Technology Hardware & applications and their associated process flows throughout the various IT systems. You will use your knowledge and expertise to make recommendations for operational and support excellence. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: o Providing technical support, expertise, and fluidity for the various FMI Technology hardware applications and systems through service tickets, phone calls, and emails o Troubleshooting processes and debugging user interface (UI) applications, hardware and system integrations o Creating and maintaining a variety of queries and technical documentation o Determining the root cause of various hardware, software, application and database sync problems o Collaborating with other IT teams across a wide variety of systems o Providing technical support for level one support teams within the company o Providing 24x7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older o Possess or working toward a degree in Information Technology, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering OR possess IT work experience OR Fastenal work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially via telephone and email o Proficient computer skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Willingness to travel o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess 3 years of IT related work experience o Prior customer service experience o Knowledge of programming languages and SQL ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
