Job Summary:
Client is looking for an Engineer II - Electrical / Substation to support electrical and structural substation projects, including design, construction, materials, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review electrical drawings, one-lines, grounding, conduit, foundation, and vendor drawings.
- Support new and existing substation facility projects.
- Prepare Bill of Materials, work orders, and construction packages in SAP.
- Coordinate material ordering, fabrication, and procurement.
- Manage multiple engineering projects and contractors.
- Support construction, maintenance, and field activities.
- Attend project kickoff meetings and site visits.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, inspectors, vendors, purchasing, and field teams.
- Track project progress and help expedite construction schedules.
- Support engineering standards, new technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform substation facility line ratings using CNP methodologies.
- Mentor junior engineering staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2-4 years of engineering experience.
- Substation/electrical engineering experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with engineering software and industry standards.
