Position: Manufacturing Planner
Position Type: Direct hire
Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000
Location: Claremore, OK
Job Summary:
Develops and maintains manufacturing plans, routings, bills of material, and work instructions required to produce precision-machined and fabricated products. Translates customer requirements into accurate production documentation while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Engineering Data Review
- Review drawings, specifications, and purchase-order requirements.
- Verify revisions, materials, quantities, and quality requirements.
- Resolve technical discrepancies and maintain revision control.
Manufacturing Planning
- Develop routings and work instructions.
- Define operation sequences, tooling, equipment, and inspection requirements.
- Review plans for manufacturability and compliance.
Bills of Material & ERP Data
- Maintain BOMs, routings, and ERP planning data.
- Ensure planning aligns with engineering requirements.
- Process revisions and maintain records.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Inventory.
- Support scheduling, material planning, and resource allocation.
- Communicate planning updates across departments.
Production & Process Support
- Provide technical support to production.
- Support process improvements and new-product introductions.
- Evaluate manufacturing performance and recommend improvements.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow quality and document-control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and maintain planning documentation.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or manufacturing-related education preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, engineering, production control, machining, fabrication, or related manufacturing roles.
Technical Skills & Core Competencies
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, and inspection processes.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based within a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to move throughout facility and use stairs.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must follow all PPE and safety requirements.
