About the job
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, execution, and completion of engineering projects. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, budgets, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, procurement, and project management teams.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, costs, and resource requirements.
- Identify technical issues, project risks, and potential delays and assist in developing corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors as required.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, meeting minutes, and status updates.
- Support procurement activities, material requirements, and equipment coordination.
- Assist with quality assurance, quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Review project documentation and ensure work is performed according to approved specifications.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with testing, inspections, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is completed throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and project execution processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of project management concepts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar engineering/project-management tools.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and engineering standards.
- Experience with ERP, procurement, documentation, or project-tracking systems.
- Familiarity with quality control and safety requirements.
- PMP, CAPM, EIT, or PE certification is a plus depending on the project and engineering discipline.
