Short Description
The Department of Financial Services is looking for a technical expert to build data workflows, validate financial data, and enforce data quality. You will actively engineer data solutions, automate manual reporting, and query datasets to support Data Governance and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Mandatory Requirement: 84+ months of experience as an IT Specialist (Expert), able to provide guidance to large teams and/or possessing extensive industry experience at the top of the field.
- Data Warehousing & Financial Reporting: 84 months of experience in data warehousing, profiling, governance, modeling, or data quality assurance for Financial Reporting.
- SQL & Databases: 84 months of experience in SQL, Oracle, and other Database Management Systems (including independent problem-solving and real-time support).
- Data Visualization: 84 months of experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools like Tableau, Business Objects, or Power BI.
- Automation & Scripting: 84 months of experience in automating data tasks (ingestion, mapping, reporting, testing, validation, analysis) using programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, or Excel VBA.
- Governance & Collaboration: 84 months of experience providing governance and technical support, liaising with data vendors, solution providers, and internal stakeholders to support data strategy.
- Data Cataloging Platforms: 84 months of experience with platforms like Informatica, Collibra, or Alation to execute data profiling, quality, mapping, and lineage management.
- Documentation: 84 months of experience writing documentation to capture requirements and logic, encouraging adoption of data catalogs and quality processes.
- Cloud Platforms: 36 months of experience in cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake or Azure.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree.
