Role Description & Responsibilities
- Primary Objective: Support the OMH Data Warehouse using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) for ETL processes, administration, and the redesign and implementation of current and future OMH projects.
- Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Analyze and translate patient health data business requirements (such as admission, discharge, census, financial, billing, HR, payroll, Medicaid, and pharmacy data) into complex ETL code.
- Participate in data warehouse design and architecture planning using Kimball methodologies (Star schema design and dimensional data modeling).
- Collaborate with developers as a team lead in designing Informatica PowerCenter ETL and database architecture.
- Extract and interpret Informatica Metadata repository data.
- Implement Fine Grain Access Control Audit (FGACA) to protect healthcare data like Medicaid, pharmacy, and HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Analyze and code complex UNIX scripts to validate and FTP files, and monitor Informatica workflows.
- Perform Informatica Administration, including installation, patching, and deployment of ETL code across platforms.
- Software & Hardware: Typically uses Oracle, Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC, ER Studio, PowerBI, OBIEE, SQL Server, HP-UX, and Linux.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience Requirements:
- 120 months of experience using Informatica PowerCenter 10.5.x or higher and IDMC in a data warehouse environment.
- 120 months of experience with Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC administration (installation, patching, metadata analysis, code migration, repository optimization).
- 120 months of experience analyzing and converting heterogeneous health systems data into complex ETL code.
- 120 months of experience in relational data management and Oracle technologies, including designing and implementing Oracle VPD and FGACA in an Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- 120 months of experience working with UNIX and/or Linux operating systems.
- 120 months of experience collaborating with developers as a team lead in designing Powercenter ETL and database architecture.
- Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business intelligence, information science, or a related field.
