About the job

We are seeking a hands-on Test Automation Engineer specializing in Hardware and Robotics to support hardware automation test benches and robotic fixtures. This is a physical, lab-based role suited for an autonomous self-starter who can build, wire, maintain, and troubleshoot electromechanical test stations while interfacing with existing Python automation scripts to execute tests and isolate failures. Req.# Responsibilities Operate collaborative/industrial robotic arms (hand-guiding, kinesthetic teaching, or scripted motion) to collect consistent, high-volume motion and sensor datasets Assemble and maintain electromechanical test setups, including cable routing, wire harness fabrication, crimping, soldering, and mounting sensors/actuators Use multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes to diagnose electrical faults and signal integrity issues Read, run, and modify Python scripts for hardware control, motion routines, and automated data collection pipelines Systematically triage failures across the stack - distinguishing between mechanical binding, wiring dropouts, sensor calibration shifts, and script errors Maintain high data hygiene standards: label and log data runs accurately Provide clear daily blocker and station status reports Requirements Hands-on experience operating collaborative or industrial robotic arms for data capture Practical electromechanical fixturing and wiring experience (cable routing, harness fabrication, crimping, soldering, sensor/actuator mounting) Confidence using benchtop diagnostic tools: multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes Working proficiency in Python for hardware interfacing (not a software architecture role, but must be comfortable navigating code) Strong systematic troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains Excellent attention to detail in data labeling/logging and clear communication skills Nice to have Experience with collaborative robot arms (e.g., Franka FR3, Universal Robots) or multi-axis precision gantries Familiarity with cameras, optical sensors, force/torque sensors, or IMUs Basic CAD viewing skills (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, STEP) for fixture verification Rapid prototyping experience (e.g., 3D printing)
