About the job
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Pulaski, NY. In this pivotal leadership role, you will head the electrical engineering function across all of our premier commercial boiler and engineered systems product lines. Reporting directly to the Senior VP of Operations, you will drive strategic technical direction, provide day-to-day engineering expertise, and ensure our products maintain the highest standards of safety, reliability, and innovation.
Key Accountabilities
Product Development & Technology Leadership: Act as the primary technical authority for electrical engineering. Design safe, reliable, and serviceable products while integrating cutting-edge industry trends and advancements
Engineered Customer Orders: Serve as the subject matter expert leading electrical design efforts for custom projects. Collaborate with Project Management and electrical designers to approve drawings, specify specialty components, and ensure project specs, pricing, and availability align flawlessly.
Cross-Functional Organizational Support: Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, quality, and field service teams. Troubleshoot production issues, optimize electrical designs to boost manufacturing efficiency, and support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and system commissioning.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs and systems strictly comply with relevant industry standards, including UL, NFPA, NEC, and CSA.
Quality & Standardization: Establish, optimize, and maintain standardized electrical engineering procedures, design rules, and component libraries.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline) is highly preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in electrical and controls design.
Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical design principles, ideally within industrial equipment or thermal systems.
Critical Competencies
Technical Expertise: Deep, demonstrable knowledge and hands-on skill in industrial electrical and controls architecture.
Thoroughness & Quality Focus: A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring all design work and documentation is complete, accurate, and properly tracked.
Results-Oriented & Decisive: Proven track record of setting challenging technical goals, focusing efforts to meet deadlines, and making sound engineering decisions efficiently.
