The Research Scientist will lead experimental research focused on the synthesis, fabrication, and comprehensive characterization of advanced nanomaterials, thin films, and magnetic nanowires. This position combines hands-on fabrication and multi-technique material analysis with laboratory management, instrumentation maintenance, and academic supervision. The candidate will be central to advancing research deliverables, preparing competitive research proposals, and authoring high-impact scientific publications.
Job Duties:
Research Leadership & Materials Characterization
- Lead research focused on thin film fabrication and characterization, as well as the electrochemical deposition and characterization of magnetic nanowires.
- Perform comprehensive material characterization-including optical and electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, inductive heating, magnetometry, scanning probe analysis, and other techniques based on project requirements-to support publication and dissemination.
Publications & Scholarly Dissemination
- Author or co-author 1-5 peer-reviewed journal articles annually.
- Deliver 1-2 technical presentations at academic or industry conferences each year.
Grant Writing & Proposal Development
- Formulate and submit 1-3 grant or research proposals per year.
Laboratory & Equipment Maintenance
- Oversee and perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
Mentorship & Operations
- Lead student mentorship initiatives and guide student researchers.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Material Science or a related field
- 4 years of relevant experience
