Mesa Associates, Inc. is currently seeking an engineering intern to assist with Substation Engineering & Design projects for its Knoxville, TN office. The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior Level Student at an Accredited University and working towards a BS in Engineering. The individual will be working with other experienced engineers and/or designers in creating electrical drawing deliverables for substation construction projects.

Additional responsibilities are:

  • Works under the direction of project managers/senior engineers.
  • Assist in the preparation of detail drawings of substation wiring, electrical components, and assemblies using manual or Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment.
  • Operates peripheral equipment such as printers, plotters, etc.

Work Schedule:

  • We currently are accepting applications for part time interns during the school year and transitioning to full time during winter and summer breaks.
  • Mesa is flexible on intern work schedules and will work to ensure that work doesn't not interfere with student's school schedule.
