Full time
This is a Senior Business Systems Analyst role focused on financial services and trading/investment platforms, particularly desktop trading and investment applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA engineers to define and deliver trading-platform capabilities.
- Analyze business needs across areas such as:
- Brokerage
- Equities
- Options
- Fixed Income
- Market Data
- Portfolio Management
- Active Trading
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand:
- Business outcomes
- Customer journeys
- Operational processes
- Regulatory requirements
- Non-functional requirements
- Translate business requirements into:
- Epics
- Features
- User stories
- Process flows
- Data mappings
- Acceptance criteria
- Traceability artifacts
- Work with architects and engineering teams on solution options, dependencies, interfaces, data flows, implementation sequencing, and delivery risks.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, story walkthroughs, demos, release planning, and production readiness.
- Define testable acceptance criteria and coordinate:
- Functional testing
- Integration testing
- Regression testing
- Accessibility testing
- Performance testing
- UAT
- Analyze defects and production issues and validate that delivered functionality meets business requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders and provide strong documentation, presentations, facilitation, and problem-solving.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of Business Analyst / Systems Analyst experience.
- Strong financial services domain experience is important.
- Preference for candidates with experience in trading, brokerage, equities, options, fixed income, market data, portfolio management, or active trading applications.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and business analysis.
- Experience creating user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mappings.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
