Job Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Home Repair Coordinator II to join their facilities team at a veterans home in Edison, NJ. This hands-on role involves the repair and maintenance of buildings and facilities, requiring proficiency in general carpentry, painting, and building upkeep. The candidate will work in a team-oriented environment supporting the facility's day-to-day maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance of buildings, office furniture, screens, storm sashes, frames, windows, ceilings, and partitions
- Conduct carpentry work including installation and repair of structural elements
- Paint wood, metal, brick, and cement walls, floors, and ceilings - interior and exterior
- Stain, varnish, and refinish cabinets, desks, chairs, and other furnishings
- Paint and repaint pipes, radiators, tin roofs, and other ironwork
- Conduct facility maintenance inspections and assist team members with repairs

Engagement Details
Contract duration: 2 years. Day shift: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Hand tools provided/required; no computer software required.
