We are currently looking for Engineering students who will be involved with various tasks related to the design and manufacture of Flight Deck, Pilot Controls, and other Electro-Mechanical actuation products used in commercial and private aircraft. Safran is a major Aerospace company designing and supplying parts ranging from Aircraft Engines, to Landing gear, to Flight Deck components, to Aircraft seats and interiors.

Position Description

In this position, you will perform a variety of Mechanical, Systems, or Electrical engineering tasks and responsibilities required to define, develop, and maintain Flight deck equipment and/or High integrity Electro-Mechanical Actuation with a focus on the analytical fundamentals to enable smooth Qualification and entry into service. These tasks may include required engineering analysis or modeling, drawing and document creation, trouble shooting and coordination with the manufacturing team to ensure a producible product, or completion of requirements validation or verification.

On-site position. No travel required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office and laboratory. Constantly operates and use a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier/printer and laboratory machinery. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across office for various needs.

Work Environment

The work environment is split between office & laboratory work, with most work being performed in the office. Noise level in the office is typically quiet while the noise level in the lab can occasionally require hearing protection

Candidate skills & requirements

Position Requirements

Currently majoring in one of following core engineering/applied sciences disciplines (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical, Materials, Mechanical, Engineering Mechanics, and Systems)

Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after May 2027.

This position requires access to information and hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other U.S. export control regulations, therefore are required to be a U.S. Person as within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ''''), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Familiar with 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, CATIA, Pro\E, and AutoCAD
