Job Description
TechAGI Solutions is hiring Embedded Software Engineers for a 12-month contract opportunity in North Reading, MA, or Sunnyvale, CA.
We are looking for technically strong engineers with hands-on experience in C/C++, Linux-based embedded systems, and hardware/software integration.
The ideal candidate will develop and maintain embedded software for advanced semiconductor test platforms, working closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C and C++ on Linux platforms.
- Develop software that interacts directly with hardware components and operating systems.
- Build reliable APIs and services for higher-level applications.
- Debug and resolve complex hardware/software integration issues.
- Troubleshoot multithreaded applications and system-level software.
- Optimize software performance, reliability, and system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Follow Agile development practices, including sprint planning, bug tracking, and release management.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on programming experience in C and C++.
- Experience developing software for Linux-based embedded systems.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for hardware/software integration.
- Experience with multithreaded application development and debugging.
- Knowledge of embedded communication interfaces, including SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with system-level and board-level software components.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week in North Reading, MA, or Sunnyvale, CA.
Preferred Skills
- Python scripting for automation, testing, or development tools.
- Experience with test equipment, instrumentation, or automation systems.
- Experience working on semiconductor testing platforms.
