Job Description

We are seeking experienced Data Center Technician II professionals to support large-scale data center deployment and operations activities in Hillsboro, OR. This role is responsible for rack and stack installations, structured cabling, hardware deployment, asset management, and infrastructure support within enterprise and hyperscale data center environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with server installation, cable management, hardware troubleshooting, and execution of deployments according to established procedures and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rack & stack installations for servers, storage, networking equipment, and GPU-based systems.
  • Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain cable management standards.
  • Connect and validate power, fiber, and copper network cabling.
  • Support hardware moves, adds, and changes (MAC activities).
  • Execute deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.
  • Perform hardware validation, LED checks, port verification, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain asset inventory and deployment documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and network teams on infrastructure projects.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and security requirements.
  • Assist with decommissioning and removal of retired hardware.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of Data Center Technician experience.
  • Strong rack & stack experience.
  • Structured cabling experience (Fiber and Copper).
  • Server installation experience (Dell, Supermicro, HPE, Cisco, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of PDU and power distribution systems.
  • Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and deployment documentation.
  • Hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Asset management and inventory tracking.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in rack environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Hyperscale Data Center experience.
  • GPU infrastructure deployment.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
  • Hot Aisle / Cold Aisle containment experience.
  • Data Center migration and hardware refresh projects.
  • Basic Linux knowledge.
