CTG is seeking to fill an SAP ABAP Architect position for our client.
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
- Lead SAP ABAP architecture and development initiatives for SAP HANA, Suite on HANA (SoH), and SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration projects.
- Design and implement SAP HANA migration strategies, including code remediation, Hanatization, and custom code optimization.
- Lead S/4HANA custom code migration using the Custom Development Migration Worklist.
- Define code pushdown strategies, evaluate optimization techniques, and recommend tools to improve application performance.
- Identify custom ABAP objects for optimization and implement advanced SAP HANA code pushdown capabilities.
- Provide architectural guidance for SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and Fiori configuration based on business and technical requirements.
- Install, configure, and utilize HANA Studio and ABAP Development Tools (ADT).
- Apply SAP HANA development, administration, and modeling tools to support application design and performance optimization.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing architectural leadership and guidance to development teams throughout implementation and migration projects.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, high-performing SAP solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.

- Advanced Open SQL, ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), HANA Native SQL, and SAP HANA SQLScript.
- Code pushdown strategies, custom code analysis, and performance optimization.
- Technical leadership, solution architecture, and stakeholder communication.
Experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and technical architecture.
- Proven experience leading SAP HANA, Suite on HANA, and S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in ABAP code remediation, custom code migration, Hanatization, and performance tuning.
- Experience evaluating and implementing code pushdown techniques using advanced Open SQL, AMDP, Native SQL, and SQLScript.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and Fiori configuration.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring development teams, and advising stakeholders on SAP architecture and migration best practices.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant SAP certifications in ABAP development, SAP HANA, or SAP S/4HANA are preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $90.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
